Yarning our Country

Thursday 18 July 2013 - Sunday 11 August 2013

"Yarning Our Country" is a group installation made completely from yarn. A 3D landscape that is knitted, crocheted, French knitted, wrapped....totally from yarn.

You start by walking through a rainforest, alongside a waterfall and river and bushland filled with animals and plants. You then continue past an aerial view of farmland complete with cows, sheep and a horse stud, and then through a garden full of flowers with a mother and baby enjoying a picnic.

Thanks to all our knitters, from all over NSW, over 200 people have contributed to the project over the past 2 years. Please join us at the official opening on Saturday July 20 at 2pm. "Yarning Our Country" will be open EVERY DAY Monday - Sunday 10am to 4pm
