'Honouring our Ancestors' - Pauline Syron-Coxon

Paintings by Pauline, who will be in attendance at the official opening on Saturday 28 February 2015 at 10.30am to discuss the artworks and the significance of the links back to country.

The Exhibition closes on Sunday 22 March 2015.

Pauline was born and raised at Bulahdelah and now lives in the Snowy mountains painting from her art Studio and Gallery, Pauline will also display photographs and the extensive research into the family tree of the her ancestor Jack Cook (Mulakat traditional name) the last initiated man of the Barrington Tops and his relationship with his family and the environment. The Art exhibition will have paintings of the Boora rings and carved trees in traditional patterns.

The Art exhibition and the Cook family reunion is important for the Mid North coast and Hunter region as many descendants now live in the area and the research into the history is authentic and shows a new insight into our local history.
