An opening celebration and Welcome to Country ceremony will be held at 2pm on Saturday 22nd June.
Local Worimi indigenous artists Gai Clarke and Jack Wratten will be exhibiting a collection of their art in an exhibition entitled "Giriba Barray - Hunting Grounds", these works are pictorial communications representing information on where food, shelter, water, gathering places and sacred areas are found, in this way they tell stories of place and help others to find good hunting when travelling through the area.
A mix of contemporary and traditional colours, techniques, styles and materials have been chosen and the artists have worked continuously over months to bring you this collection in their first exhibition at Gloucester Gallery.
The exhibition is brought to you with the support of friends and The Gloucester School of Arts.
